Chef Ned Bell

Ned is our newest Friend in Freshness™. He may be new to Windset, but he's seen a kitchen or two in his career. You may recognize him as a regular on Food Network Canada's "Cook Like a Chef" and CTV's "It's Just Food."

Ned began his cooking career in Vancouver, working at local hotspots such as Le Crocodile and Lumiere. Eventually, Ned moved East to see what that side of the country had to offer. First, to Niagara on the Lake's Peninsula Ridge Estate Winery where he was Executive Chef and then to Toronto's Accolade and Senses restaurants where he earned recognition and continued to build his reputation. Moving closer to home, he opened Murrieta's Grill in Calgary where he won Where Magazine's Rising Star and Best Overall awards.

Ned returned to his Okanagan roots in 2007 to begin a new venture as Corporate Chef and partner of the acclaimed and popular Cabana Bar and Grille in Kelowna, BC.

Ned is sure to bring a few secret recipes with him if we play our cards right!

Summer grilling season is in full effect. Everyone is rocking the barbecue with steaks and burgers. I love using the barbecue, not only does the food taste great straight off the grill, it’s a great way to mingle. It gets me cooking outside (which is fantastic) and everyone loves sitting on a patio and having a party. But what often gets lost in red meat heaven is how great fish tastes coming off the grill. Especially our west coast salmon.
